I like to add another step to this exercise that I find very beneficial: What are 5 things you can feel? Think emotional feelings, like feeling sad, excited, or happy.

Can you try to sit with the feeling for a few minutes? So the next time you are feeling anxious, focus on what you can see, feel, and touch - and ignore the insecurities that only exist inside your head.
